1. What is waist training?
Waist training involves wearing a waist trainer regularly to help gradually shape and define your waistline. It can also provide posture support and enhance your natural curves while assisting in losing inches in your waistline.
2. How do I choose the right waist trainer size?
Use our detailed sizing chart and measure your natural waistline. For the best fit, always choose based on your measurements rather than your clothing size. Size charts are located on the right hand size of the screen for each individual item.
3. Can I wear a waist trainer all day?
We recommend starting with 1–2 hours per day and gradually increasing wear time to 6–8 hours as your body adjusts to even up to 12-14 hours once it becomes of apart of your daily routine. Always listen to your body and never wear a trainer that causes discomfort or restricts breathing.
4. Will waist training help me lose weight?
Waist training alone can at times cause weight loss, this is due to wearing the waist trainers while eating as it will assist with you not overeating and it can support a healthy lifestyle by improving posture and encouraging core engagement during workouts.
5. Is it safe to work out in a waist trainer?
Yes! We offer workout-friendly waist trainers designed for flexibility and support during exercise. Avoid overly tight trainers and always stay hydrated during workouts.
6. How do I care for my waist trainer or shapewear?
Hand wash with mild detergent in cold water and lay flat to dry. Avoid machine washing and drying, as it can damage the fabric and elasticity which can also damage the boning inside of the garments as well.
7. What’s the difference between a waist trainer and shapewear?
Waist trainers are structured for compression and shaping over time. Shapewear is designed for immediate smoothing and contouring under clothing. Waist training leads to long term permanent results with continuous maintenance of wearing the garment. Shapewear is a temporary fix for you to have a smooth shape forming appearance under your clothing while wearing the garment. The results of wearing shape wear is only seen while wearing the garment and it not meant for permanent results after continuous wear.
8. How long before I see results from waist training?
Results vary by body type and consistency. Some customers notice a difference within a few weeks, especially when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.
9. Can I wear shapewear every day?
Yes, our shapewear is designed for daily wear and comfort and we encourage daily wear. Choose breathable, supportive styles for all-day use without irritation. We also recommend purchasing more than one to maintain daily wear with less frequent washing of the garment with alternating between multiple garments.
10. Do you offer plus-size options?
Absolutely! Waisted Vixens proudly offers inclusive sizing for all body types. Check our product pages for specific size availability. We offer sizes ranging from XS - 8XL.
11. How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping usually takes 2–7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). You’ll receive tracking info once your order ships. Also please keep in mind that we receive a high volume of orders for our garments and sometimes we may run low on inventory but rest assured we will get your orders out to you right away.
12. Can I return or exchange my order?
We accept exchanges within 7 days of delivery on unworn, unwashed items with original tags which must still be attached to the garment and in its original Waisted Vixens garment bag . Please see our Return/Exchange Policy page for full details.
13. Do waist trainers work for postpartum recovery?
Yes, many women find waist trainers helpful during postpartum recovery for abdominal support and posture. We highly recommend our shapewear and waist trainers for postpartum mothers after giving birth. Always consult your doctor before starting.
